Recently myself and several colleagues from Swim Drink Fish Canada were invited to attend one of Coldplay's Toronto shows. This opportunity was extended by Coldplay themselves, due to our joint missions of global sustainability.

Live Nation was an exceptional host and partner in supporting Coldplay's efforts to run a sustainable concert! We not only got to listen, dance, sing and laugh along with 49,996 other fans, but we also won the proverbial lottery by being granted an exclusive invitation to the After Show Party.  The air-conditioned “trailer” was amazing after a long 7 hours in the heat, but the thrill of being so close to music royalty and massive environmental stewards like Coldplay allowed the off-the-grid electric vibe of the night to continue.

Honoured to have been invited, and respecting back-stage etiquette, we were not able to take any photos or speak to the band members themselves. The best I could do was enjoy the waft of lavender that drifted over as Chris Martin walked past me, well within speaking distance but respectfully holding back that urge.

Having experienced this once-in-a-lifetime event, and seeing the like-minded organizations that we hold in our company, it is my goal to assist Swim Drink Fish in becoming a "passion project" environmental cause that artists like Coldplay support, and spread the message about swimmable, drinkable, fishable waters on a global scale! It’s not out of reach, but we all need to do this together by accepting our shared responsibility to our #Biinaagami waters (Google it!) and extend that out to every coast.  That would make the global impact that we are working so hard in Canada to achieve!
