The Catherine McKenna Swim Challenge

This summer, Catherine McKenna is challenging YOU to swim for swimmable, drinkable, fishable waters

Join Catherine in protecting Canada’s waters by donating $10 for every place you swim in 2021.

It costs $10 to take one water sample at one beach. Your donation makes a difference!

In celebration of her 50th birthday, Catherine McKenna is hoping to swim in all five Great Lakes as well as the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic oceans while donating to Swim Drink Fish.

She is a passionate advocate for waters everywhere. To hear more about Catherine McKenna’s connection to Canada’s waters, click to hear her Ottawa River Watermark or her Lake Ontario Watermark.

Here's how easy it is to take the Catherine McKenna Swim Challenge:

  1. Find a body of water

  2. Get into said body of water

  3. Snap a picture of you in said body of water

  4. Use the hashtag #McKennaSwimChallenge

  5. Donate to Swim Drink Fish

Get outside and recognize how much we need to protect our waters and keep them clean and how lucky we are to have them.
