We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to help our incredible team empower a movement of more than 3-million people to safeguard swimmable, drinkable, fishable water. Digital Marketing Specialist, Great Lakes Guide

Location: Toronto, Ontario (with possibility of remote work)

Launched in 2018, Great Lakes Guide is a web platform that connects people to the Great Lakes (greatlakes.guide). The Guide helps more people go to the water more often by making it easier for people to find parks, beaches, trails, and other public spaces. The Guide teaches people where their water comes from and what birds and fish live near them. It promotes Indigenous languages, history, and perspectives. It shows how the north and south, urban and rural, coastal and river communities are connected (by water). Ultimately, Great Lakes Guide helps people take action to protect the places they love.

Program Lead, Great Lakes Communities Monitoring Initiative

Location: Toronto, Ontario

The Great Lakes Communities Recreational Waters Monitoring Initiative is a four-year demonstration project to engage underserved communities in water quality monitoring, data-sharing, and stewardship. The Program Lead will work with Swim Guide Program Manager to identify hub locations, set up monitoring hubs, support conduct of Environmental Health and Safety Surveys, train hub coordinators, oversee project milestones to ensure they are completed on time, on budget, with transparency and accountability, and that the funding model is developed to sustain the project in the long-term. Travel will be part of this position.
